Kruger has officially received the Air Movement & Control Association International (AMCA) License Agreements for our test chambers in Singapore. They are accredited by AMCA. We have three test chambers for measurement of fans of different size categories that have been designed to the AMCA 210/ISO5801 standard. The smallest one can measure air volume flow up to 9000 m3/h, the second largest test chamber can measure flow up to 25,000 m3/h, and the largest test chamber is capable of testing units up to 100,000 m3/h. All data acquisition and control are performed in the control room. Typically, one technician is required to oversee the entire fan measurement and testing process.

The results such as temperature and pressure at various locations in the chamber are monitored by a Data Acquisition system that feed the sensor information into the PC. All these information are processed and displayed in a graph which characterize the fan performance. The results are passed to the R&D department for verification and analysis. All fans are tested strictly and in conformance to the AMCA standard. The data acquisition system can fully automate the entire testing process. A fan performance graph publisher generates catalogues of the fan performance curves on a computer.

During testing, the technician will set up the fan and perform air flow measurement in the control room. Most of this measurement process is automated by software and all the results can be generated automatically within 15 minutes of testing. The swift generation of experimentation results expedites our testing and analysis of fans greatly. The Kruger Research Tem will be using this facility to verify their fan designs.
